• An antibiotic used to treat upper and lower respiratory tract infections, skin infections, urinary tract infections, and sexually transmitted infections
• Used to treat pneumonia, bronchitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media, and skin infections caused by susceptible bacteria
• Dosage for adults is 200-400 mg daily in two divided doses; for children, 4 mg/kg/day in two divided doses
